Bloomfield Resources acquires new yard in Cradley Heath to support major expansion

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of our new operational site in Cradley Heath, which will soon be developed into a fully functioning Transfer Station alongside a modern, high capacity Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). This investment represents a significant step forward in the continued growth of our business and reinforces our long term commitment to delivering efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible waste management solutions.

Strategically located to enhance our regional reach, the new facility will strengthen our ability to service customers across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. The site has been selected to optimise transport links, reduce travel times, and improve overall logistics, enabling faster turnaround and greater operational efficiency. This improved infrastructure will allow us to manage increasing waste volumes while maintaining high service standards and regulatory compliance.

The new MRF plant will utilise advanced mechanical separation and automated sorting technology to improve recovery rates across multiple recyclable streams. The system is designed to increase material purity, reduce contamination, and minimise residual waste. With scalability built into the design, the facility will be capable of handling increased tonnage, adapting to new waste streams, and integrating future technological upgrades.

The Transfer Station will streamline waste intake, bulk handling, and onward transportation, significantly improving operational flow and reducing turnaround times. The layout has been designed to maximise vehicle movement, material segregation, and storage efficiency, ensuring smooth and consistent processing of incoming waste volumes.

Sustainability is at the core of this development. By investing in modern equipment, smarter processing systems, and improved logistics, we are strengthening our commitment to responsible waste management and the circular economy.

This development marks another major milestone in our company’s journey. It reflects our continued investment in infrastructure, innovation, and service delivery, positioning us strongly for future expansion while ensuring we remain a dependable partner to our customers and stakeholders across the region.
