Bloomfield Resources turns ONE

This September marks a huge milestone for us at Bloomfield Resources, our very first birthday!

In just one year, we’ve gone from opening our doors as a new waste management provider to becoming a trusted name for households, tradespeople, and businesses across the Midlands. From skip hire to RoRo’s, and from tipping facilities to hazardous waste management, our goal has always been the same: to deliver waste solutions that are reliable, professional, and environmentally responsible.

Starting Out

When Bloomfield Resources launched in September 2024, we started small with just 12 trucks and around 1000 skips. We had a vision of creating a company that could offer more than just waste collection: we wanted to make the process smoother for customers, support sustainability, and build a team that would be proud to represent the business.

Fast forward one year, and we’ve already come a long way. Today, Bloomfield operates 36 trucks and a much larger fleet of over 3000 skips supporting projects of all sizes.

Building a Team

Behind every truck, every skip delivery, and every customer call is our team. Over the past 12 months, our staff has more than doubled growing from 30 to over 60 people.

Every single person plays a vital role in what we do, from drivers and yard staff to office support.

It’s thanks to them that Bloomfield has built a reputation for being fast, reliable, and easy to work with. Their hard work and commitment are the real engine behind our growth, and they are the reason our customers keep coming back.

Highlights of Year One

Looking back, it’s incredible to see just how much has happened in 12 months:

• Fleet Expansion – We’ve added more trucks and a much larger skip fleet to keep up with demand.
• New Services – Beyond skip hire, we now offer RoRo hire, FEL, man & van services, hazardous waste management, and tipping facilities.
• Smarter Systems – We introduced integrated booking software to make it quicker and easier for customers to arrange collections and manage waste.
• Customer Relationships – From homeowners doing a clear out to major building contractors, we’ve supported projects of all shapes and sizes.
• Milestones – From our very first skip delivery to hitting capacity on our busiest days, every step has been a moment to celebrate.
• FORS – we’re proud to have achieved our FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) certificate, a mark of our commitment to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible transport. 

Looking back, it’s incredible to see just how much has happened in 12 months. We’ve expanded our fleet, added new services, and introduced integrated booking software to make the customer journey smoother than ever. From our very first skip delivery to hitting capacity on our busiest days, every step has been a milestone worth celebrating.

But our first year hasn’t just been about trucks and skips, it’s also been about community. Bloomfield Resources is proud to sponsor three local football teams: Shawbury United Under 12s, Tipton Olympics Under 11s, and Sinclair United Telford Under 12s. We also support the sporting future of a young rising star in under 12 British boxing.

Making an Impact

Every skip we deliver means someone’s project can move forward. Every collection means a site is safer and cleaner. And every load processed at our facility means less waste going to landfill and more being recycled responsibly.

That’s what motivates us. For us, waste management isn’t just about removing rubbish, it’s about helping people clear space, move forward with projects, by recycling and recovering materials from waste.

Giving back has been at the heart of our journey too. This year we donated 300 Easter eggs to The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust at New Cross Hospital, spreading some cheer to patients and staff. We’ve also supported the Black Country Homeless Shelter with food donations, helping to provide for those most in need.

Looking to the Future

Our first year has been exciting, but it’s just the beginning. In year two, Bloomfield Resources plans to:

• Continue growing our fleet so we can serve even more customers quickly and efficiently.
• Invest in better recycling processes to reduce landfill and increase recovery rates.
• Expand our services so customers can rely on us for even more of their waste management needs.
• Keep building strong relationships with local businesses, contractors, and households.

We’re ambitious about the future and we’re ready to keep pushing forward.
